Biography

Michael Randolph joined the SVSU communications department in 2013 as the Marketing Specialist for Videography and Photography. Throughout his 28-year career as a photographer and video producer, Michael has worked for several newspapers including The Miami Herald, Cadillac News, and the Bay City Times. His works have been published in various publications around the nation such as The New York Times, USA Today, and the Washington Post. He has won awards from the Associated Press, Michigan Press Photographers Association, the Michigan Press Association and the National Press Photographers Association, American Advertising Federation, Communication Awards, and Telly Awards. He is currently a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and the University Photographers Association of America. 

In addition to his photographic works, Michael produces video and multimedia content for local and national clients, and local non-profit organizations. He also has produced and directed several short narrative films. He as also taught community college-level courses in photography, photojournalism, and cinematography.

Michael is a 1994 graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with an Associates Degree in Photography.
